Empire Breckenridge Select 32″ Vent-Free Firebox

The Breckenridge Select is Empire’s floor-level vent-free firebox. With no lower louvers, it installs at or near floor level with a low-profile top and bottom — a tall, deep stage for the log set with less of the firebox face showing, for the look of a site-built fireplace. It installs without a chimney or flue and accepts any certified vent-free burner and log set.

Because it draws room air for combustion and vents nothing outdoors, the Breckenridge Select can go where a vented unit can’t — interior walls, additions, and rooms without a chimney path. The low floor height is what sets it apart: the fire sits close to the floor like a masonry fireplace, rather than raised behind a louvered face.

Despite the minimal face, it remains a recirculating firebox, so Empire’s optional automatic single-speed blower (with speed control) can be added, along with the ember kit, fresh air kit, liners, decorative door set, and steel frame offered for the line.

Sold Separately — a burner and log set are required

This is the firebox only. To complete the fireplace you’ll add a certified vent-free burner and log set, sized for a 32″ firebox. An extended hood is also required when your surround material is thicker than 1 inch.
